Every year, CSL Plasma welcomes its donation center managers to a conference called the “CLC Event.” As a company with a culture based on helping others, it is important to reinforce company values at the event. Battle accomplished this through the design and development of an augmented reality (AR) experience that invited meaningful participation by all attendees and boosted post-conference retention of key concepts and messages. First, Battle developed an elaborate puzzle, an individual piece of which was given to each registered attendee. Throughout the conference, attendees were encouraged to add their individual piece to the puzzle. Once the puzzle was complete, attendees could unlock an app that served as a portal into a custom AR experience Battle created for CSL. The experience included an animated donation center with donors coming and going, surrounded by a living, breathing world with vehicle traffic, clouds floating by, and more. The user was given the power to take selfies of themselves as members of this virtual community – as nurses, firefighters, business people – and then to share these selfies with everyone at the event.
